Our purpose
We help readers choose a mini PC for a specific use. We write for the reader first. Revenue currently comes from Amazon Associates affiliate links, and the rules below keep it from steering what we write.
Independence
- Commissions, advertising and sponsorships do not decide which products we include, how we rank them, or what we say about them. Advertising and partnerships
- We do not order lists, assign “best” labels or choose which model leads a page by commission rate.
- We include products we cannot earn from when they are the better answer for the reader.
- We say where a recommendation has limits: who it is for and who should pick something else.
How we choose what to cover
We cover products and topics people use mini PCs for: local AI, Proxmox and homelab, Home Assistant, Plex and budget builds. We pick models that are currently sold by the manufacturer or major retailers, and that are discussed repeatedly in independent sources. We do not choose a product because a brand asked us to.
Sources and evidence
Every comparison states what it rests on. We use three labels: Hands-on tested, Official specs, Third-party sources. Rules:
- We never write “we tested,” “we measured,” “in our lab,” or similar unless the page is labeled Hands-on tested and publishes the method, date and results.
- Specifications come from the manufacturer’s own pages or documents and are linked where we can.
- Third-party claims are attributed (“reported by …”) and linked.
- When sources disagree or we cannot verify something, we say so rather than choosing the more flattering version.

Fact-checking before publishing
Whatever tools are used to draft a page, it is published only after a person has checked its factual claims — specifications, prices, version numbers and names — against the sources cited on that page. We do not present drafting tools or invented personas as experts.
Updates
Pages carry an “Updated” date. Prices carry a “checked on” date. We update pages when prices, availability, specifications or software support change, and we revisit lists on a regular schedule. See Price and data policy.

We correct factual errors and note material changes. See Corrections policy.
Conflicts of interest
